치매환자 보호자의 치매 돌봄 요구도 비교: 인천광역시 치매 중증도별, 도심⋅도서지역별, 치매안심센터 등록⋅미등록별 차이 분석을 중심으로

Comparison of Dementia Care Needs of Caregivers : Focused on Incheon Metropolitan City

본 연구는 인천시 치매 돌봄 요구도를 확인하여 지역사회에 기반을 둔 수요자 중심 치매관리사업 추진의 근거자료를 마련하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 인천시 치매환자 보호자 500명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하고 그 결과를 SPSS 통계 프로그램으로 비교분석하였 다. 분석 결과, 치매환자 및 보호자 지원 서비스 24가지 중에서는 ‘응급상황이 생겼을 때 이용할 수 있는 병원’에 대한 요구도가 가장 높았고, 24가지 지원 서비스를 7가지 영역으로 재분류하여 분석하였을 땐 ‘정보 지원’에 대한 요구도가 높게 나타났다. 또한 치매 관련 인천시 특성별(치매 중증도별, 도심⋅도서지역별, 치매안심센터 등록⋅미등록별)로 치매 돌봄 요구가 다르게 나타나 인천시 특성과 수요자 요구도에 맞춰 인천시 치매관리사업 추진이 필요함을 알 수 있었으며, 인천시 거주 치매환자 및 보호자에게 제공할 치매 지원 서비스 관련 정책 수립 시 본 연구 결과를 근거자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study was to find out the care needs of caregivers of people with dementia according to the characteristics of Incheon Metropolitan City. A survey was conducted on 500 caregivers of people with dementia living in Incheon, and the results were analyzed using the SPSS program. As a result of the analysis, among the 24 types of dementia patients and caregivers support services, the need for 'a hospital that can be used in case of an emergency' was the highest, and when the 24 support services were reclassified into 7 areas and analyzed, the need for the ‘Information support’ area was the highest. In addition, the needs for dementia care varies by characteristics of Incheon(by dementia severity, by urban⋅island region, by Local Dementia Center registration⋅non-registration), indicating that it is necessary to establish an Incheon dementia management system in accordance with the characteristics of Incheon and the dementia care needs. So, the results of this study can be used as evidence when establishing policies related to dementia support services to be provided to dementia patients and their caregivers living in Incheon.
