반려동물 양육 유무에 따른 우울증 척도의 차이

Differences in Human Depression Scales with and without Companion Animals

This study attempted to compare the difference using the depression scale between with and without companion animals. As the subject of the study, 39 people raising companion animals and 31 people who did not raise companion animals were surveyed in Sasang-gu, Busan. A total of 70 copies were used for analysis. General characteristics included gender and age, and BDI (Beck Depression Inventory) consisting of 21 questions was used to measure depression. As a result of the study, those who raise companion animals had a lower scale of depression scale than those who did not (p<0.01).The results of the above study will not only affect depression in single-person households with and without Companion Animals, but will also be able to design specific studies based on this study to suggest alternatives to depression.
