유아용 사회인지 평가 모바일 앱의 개발 및 타당화

Development and Validation of a Mobile Application Assessing Young Children’s Social Cognition Abilities

본 연구에서는 유아용 사회인지 평가 모바일 앱을 개발하고 유아의 사회인지 발달 수준을 타당하게 측정할 수 있는지 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 선행연구에서 예비 타당화를 한 후 본 연구에서 내용 타당도 분석을 통해 수정 보완한 모바일 앱(mindreading-ⓢ)을 서울, 경기, 인천 지역의 만3~6세 유아 445명을 대상으로 실시하여 사회인지 능력을 평가한 후 신뢰도, 문항-총점간 상관, 문항별 난이도, 변별도 추측도를 분석하였다. 개발된 앱의 구성 타당도를 분석하기 위해 유아의 주양육자에게 유아 사회적 이해 척도(CSUS), 부모보고용 유아 사회인지 체크리스트(SCC)를 온라인 설문의 형태로 실시하였다. 유아용 사회인지 평가 모바일 앱은 공동주의, 정서, 가장, 지각, 바람, 믿음, 의도의 7개 하위요인, 48문항으로 구성하였고 내적 합치도와 문항-총점간 상관을 분석한 후 부적절한 2문항을 삭제하였다. 46문항을 대상으로 문항의 난이도, 변별도, 추측도를 분석하기 위해 IRT를 실시한 후 6문항에 대해 추가 수정을 진행하였다. 구성 타당도를 분석한 결과, 유아용 사회인지 평가 모바일 앱의 총점과 모든 하위요인이 CSUS 총점, SCC 총점과 유의한 정적 상관을 나타냈다. 이상으로 유아용 사회인지 평가 모바일 앱은 만 3~6세 유아의 사회인지 능력을 평가하기에 적절한 도구로 확인되었다.

This study was to develop and validate a mobile application, the mindreading-ⓢ, that assesses young children’s social cognition abilities. A total of 445 children participated in the study and used the mindreading-ⓢ, while their caregivers filled in the Children’s Social Understanding Scale (CSUS), Social Cognition Checklist (SCC). The mindreading- ⓢ included 48 items and assesses seven sub-factors: joint attention, emotion, pretend, perception, desire, belief, and intention. After calculating the average correct answer rate and standard deviation, and analyzing reliability and item-total correlation, two items were deleted. To determine the likelihood of guessing, the difficulty, and the discrimination per item, IRT analysis was performed and six items identified as inappropriate were modified. Regarding construct validity, the mindreading-ⓢ showed reasonably positive correlations with CSUS and SCC. As a result, the mindreading-ⓢ was verified to be a reliable tool for assessing young children’s social cognition abilities.
