Standardization Study for the National Institute of Special Education-Korean․Autism Rating Scale for Teachers (NISE-K․ART)

본 연구는 국립특수교육원 자폐성장애 검사도구(National Institute of Special Education-Korean-Autism Rating scale for Teacher, NISE-K․ART)를 표준화하고 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. NISE-K․ART는 DSM-5의 자폐스펙트럼장애 진단기준에 따라서 ‘사회적 의사소통과 사회적 상호작용(SC)’ 영역과 ‘제한된 반복적인 행동․흥미․활동(RRB)’ 영역으로 구성되었으며, 학교급에 따라 유아용(3~5세), 초등학생용(6~12세), 중․고등학생용(13~18세)으로 제작되었다. NISE-K․ART의 표준화를 위해 자폐성장애 학생 561명과 지적장애 학생 집단 318명, 비장애 학생 집단 319명 등 총 1,198명을 표집하였다. 문항분석을 위하여 문항반응이론에 근거한 문항 난이도와 변별도 분석을 하였고, 타당도 검증을 위해 구인타당도와 공인타당도를, 신뢰도를 검증을 위해 내적합치도(Cronbach’α), 검사-재검사 신뢰도, 평정자간 일치도, 그리고 임상적 유용성을 살펴보았다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, NISE-K․ART의 난이도와 변별도를 조사한 결과, 다양한 난이도(심각도)의 문항으로 구성되어 있으며 양호한 변별도를 지니는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 신뢰도분석 결과, NISE-K․ART는 내적일관성이 높은 것으로 나타났으며, 검사-재검사 신뢰도 및 평정자간 일치도도 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 타당도 검증 결과, NISE-K․ART의 구인은 이원 요인 모형으로 이론에 부합하며, 유사한 개념을 측정하는 K-SCQ, K-GARS-2와의 공인타당도가 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 임상적 유용성을 확인한 결과, 자폐 집단과 다른 집단 간에 유의미한 차이가 나타났으며 민감도와 특이도 역시 높은 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구를 통해 NISE-K․ART는 자폐성장애를 지닌 특수교육대상자 선정을 위한 평가도구로 타당하고 신뢰로운 척도임이 입증되었다. 이러한 연구 결과에 근거하여 본 검사도구의 의의와 활용 방안에 대하여 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study was to standardize the National Institute of Special Education- Korean·Autism Rating Scale for Teachers(NISE-K·ART). The NISE-K·ART assess two domains: social communication and social interaction(SC) and the restricted repetitive behaviors, interests, and activities(RRB). The scale was developed for preschoolers (3-5 years old), elementary school students (6-12 years old), and middle and high school student (13-18 years old) and is capable of assessing different grade levels. The NISE-K·ART was administered to 561 students with ASD for standardization and to 318 students with intellectual disabilities and 319 students without disabilities for assessing clinical utility. For item analysis, item difficulty and discrimination were analyzed based on item response theory. For validity, construct validity, quasi-validity, and discriminant validity were examined; and for reliability, internal consistency (Cronbach’s α), test-retest reliability, and inter-rater agreement were tested. The study revealed the following. First, after we examined the difficulty and discrimination of the NISE-K·ART, we found that the scale consisted of items of varying difficulty (severity) and had fair discrimination. Second, the reliability analysis showed that the NISE-K·ART had high internal consistency, test-retest reliability, and inter-rater agreement. Lastly, the study confirmed that the NISE-K·ART had high validity and high discrimination between groups. Based on these findings, we discuss the significance of the NISE-K·ART and how to utilize it.
