This research is dedicated to constructing a comprehensive suite of assessment items, firmly anchored to the pre-existing minimum achievement standard in English. These tools are designed to ensure that students meet a fundamental level of academic accomplishment. A primary objective of this initiative is to identify and support students who fall short of this minimum achievement standard, thereby bolstering the efficacy of targeted government programs. Three pivotal objectives underscore the necessity and relevance of this research. The first involves crafting an assessment item tailored to each skill within the English subject, premised on the minimum achievement standard. The second objective entails an exploration of potential applications for the existing minimum achievement standard, with the aim of broadening its utility and influence. Finally, the research investigates the practical application of the minimum achievement standard within the classroom environment following the guidelines of the revised 2022 national curriculum.
