This study analyzed the degree of anxiety on foreign language learning at a junior college in Korea. Two classes of English and Chinese were analyzed and compared. As a research tool, the Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale (FLAS) questionnaire was adopted and revised consisting of a total of 21 items. The results of the study are as follows. First, in the Lack of Confidence item, learners show higher than average in all items. There is a statistically significant difference between the two classes. Second, the Lack of Preparation consists of three questions, and there is a large difference in three items. Third, all three items of the Fear of Failing the Class show greater differences than other categories. Fourth, in the category of the Fear of Making Mistakes, 6 items show high values. This means that learners are very nervous during foreign language classes. Fifth, the Difficulty in Understanding Teacher's Instruction consists of three questions. The result shows that there is a significant difference in two of the three items. As a follow-up study, a study on how to relieve learners’ anxiety is expected. This study implies statistical differences of learners’ anxiety in two foreign languages. Furthermore, the results of this study can be applied to learning methods that can reduce anxiety in English and Chinese classes.
