Transmissions and Significances of the Tales about Master Singer

본고에서는 명창설화가 현재까지 형성전승되고 있는 현재진행형의 이야기라는 점에 유의하여 그 전승양상과 의미를 분석해 보고자 하였다. 비록 한정된 자료를 논의의 대상으로 삼았다는 문제는 있으나, 명창설화가 지니고 있는 중요성을 밝힐 수 있었다는 점에서 어느 정도의 의의를 인정받을 수 있으리라 생각한다. 앞으로 기회 있는 대로 명창과 관련된 설화를 좀 더 폭넓게 조사하여 정리해 보고자 한다.
