군 교육기관 학습자의 특성이 학습동기에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

The Characteristics of military educational institution learners A Study on the Effect of Learning Motivation

본 연구는 군 조직에 적합한 장교들의 역량을 강화하기 위해 장기복무장교라면 반드시 이수해야 하는 필수교육과정인 육군대학, 해군대학, 공군대학, 합동군사대학교의 전문군사교육에서 학습자의 특성이 학습동기에 어떠한 차별적 영향을 미치는가를 연구하고자 하였다. 이에 따라 선행연구를 통해 학습자의 학습동기를 관한 문헌 조사에서 학습자의 학습동기 유형을 설정하고 학생장교들의 특성과의 관련성을 찾아 연구모형을 설계하였다. 그리고 이를 근거로 가설을 설정하여 각 변수들간의 관계에 대해 실증적 분석을 하였으며, 이를 위해 육군대학, 해군대학, 공군대학 및 합동군사대학교에 재학 중인 소령·중령급 학생장교 428명(각군대학 314명, 합동군사대 114명)을 대상으로 학생장교들의 특성과 그들의 학습동기에 대해 설문조사를 통하여 자료를 수집하여 분석하였다. 이러한 본 연구는 전문군사교육기관인 육·해·공군 대학, 합동군사대학교 뿐만 아니라 학습자인 학생장교들에게 적합한 교육전략을 수립하는데 필요한 시사점을 제시할 것으로 생각된다. 또한 학습자인 학생장교들의 학습동기를 최적화하여 전문군사교육기관인 육·해·공군 대학, 합동군사대학교와 학생장교 모두에게 상생하는 방법을 찾고자 하였다.

This study attempted to study how learner's characteristics have a distinctive effect on learning motivation in military professional education at Army University, Navy University, Air Force University, and Joint Military University, which are essential courses for long-term reinforcement. Accordingly, in a literature survey on learner's learning motivation through previous researches, the type of learner's learning motivation and a research model was designed by finding the relationship with the characteristics of learner(student officer). Based on this, the hypothesis was established to empirically analyze the relationship between each variable, and to this end, data were collected and analyzed through a survey of 428 major and lieutenant-level student officers (314 military universities and 114 joint military colleges). This study is expected to present implications necessary for establishing appropriate educational strategies for student officers, learners, as well as specialized military education institutions such as Army, Navy, and Air Force universities and joint military universities. In addition, by optimizing the learning motivation of student officers, who are learners, we tried to find a way to coexist with both the Army, Navy, Air Force universities, joint military universities, and student officers.
