Relevance of Dental Hygienists Knowledge of Systemic Diseases, Awareness of Emergency Response, and Educational Needs in Busan and Gyeongnam Gegions

Objectives: It is intended to be used as a basis for the development of educational materials to improve the dental care of patients with systemic diseases and to reduce the psychological burden on dental hygienists involved in the care. Methods: A self-administered survey was conducted among 311 dental hygienists in Busan and Gyeongnam, and statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 26.0. Results: systemic disease training experience, knowledge level, and training content needs were positively correlated. Conclusions: Educational programs should be developed and ongoing training should be provided to close the gap in systemic disease knowledge.
