자연물을 활용한 흙 놀이가 유아의 자연친화적 태도와 창의성에 미치는 효과

The Effects of Soil Play with Natural Objects on Young Children's Nature-Friendly Attitude and Creativity

목적 본 연구는 자연물을 활용한 흙 놀이가 유아의 자연친화적 태도와 창의성에 미치는 효과를 살펴보는 데 목적이 있다. 방법 이를 위하여, 전북 J시에 소재한 S 유치원에 재원 중인 만 5세 유아 36명(실험집단 18명, 비교집단 18명)을 선정하였다. 실험집단 유아는 자연물을 활용한 흙 놀이를 2022년 11월 7일부터 12월 30일까지 8주 동안 실시하였고, 비교집단 유아는 인공물을 활용한 모래놀이를 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 두 집단 간의 차이를 t-검증으로 분석하였다. 결과 분석 결과 첫째, 자연물을 활용한 흙 놀이는 유아의 자연친화적 태도에 긍정적인 효과가 나타났다. 둘째, 자연물을 활용한 흙 놀이는 유아의 창의성에 긍정적인 효과가 나타났다. 결론 결론적으로, 자연물을 활용한 흙 놀이를 한 실험집단 유아들은 인공물을 활용한 모래놀이를 실시한 비교집단의 유아들보다 자연친화적 태도와 창의성이 향상되어, 자연물을 활용한 흙 놀이는 유아의 자연친화적 태도와 창의성을 증진시킬 수 있는 교수·학습방법이며, 유아교육현장에서 유아들에게 자연물과 흙을 활용한 다양한 활동을 적극적으로 제공해 주어야 함을 보여 준다.

Objectives This study aims to investigate the effects of soil play with natural objects on young children's nature-friendly attitude and creativity. Methods For this purpose, the study selected 36 five-year-olds(experiment group: 18, comparison group: 18) attending S Kindergarten in J City, Jeonbuk. Young children in the experiment group engaged in soil play with natural objects for eight weeks on November 7~December 30, 2022, and young children in the comparison group engaged in sand play with artifacts. Results The analysis results first show that soil play with natural objects had positive effects on young children's nature-friendly attitude. Secondly, soil play with natural objects also had positive effects on their creativity. Conclusions In conclusion, soil play with natural objects is a teaching and learning method to promote young children's nature-friendly attitude and creativity and demonstrates that young children should be provided actively with various activities with natural objects and soil in the field of early childhood education.
