국내 영어 교과 사교육 관련 연구 문헌 분석

An Analysis of the Research Literature on Private English Education in Korea

본 연구는 지금까지 수행된 영어 교과 관련 사교육 영역에서의 연구 문헌을 체계적으로 분석하였다. 2023년 2월을 기준으로 RISS와 KCI 등의 데이터베이스를 검색하여 총 143편의 분석 대상 연구물을 추출하였다. 본격적인 연구 동향 분석을 위해서 연구 대상, 연구 방법, 연구 주제를 준거로 하여 선행 연구물을 분류하여 구체적인 내용을 살폈다. 분석 결과, 초등학교와 중학교 학생을 대상으로 하는 연구사례가 많았으며, 연구 방법 측면에서는 양적 연구 방식을 채택한 경우가 대다수인 것으로 나타났다. 연구 주제 측면에서는 여섯 가지 중심 주제를 추출할 수 있었다. 각 주제 별 주요 발견점 및 관련한 예시 연구를 소개하고, 연구 결과를 토대로 향후 영어교육에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.

This study analyzed the research literature in the field of private English education conducted in Korea thus far. To accomplish this, databases such as RISS and KCI were searched, resulting in the extraction of a total of 143 studies. These studies were scrutinized to analyze the research trends, with a focus on participants, research methods, and topics. It was found that the majority of the studies focused on elementary and middle school students, and quantitative research methods were predominantly utilized. In terms of research topics, six central themes emerged. This paper delves into more detailed findings and discusses implications for future English education.
