Recently, The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact not only on society and the economy but also on culture and the arts worldwide. With limited social interactions, the usage of over-the-top (OTT) platforms like YouTube and Netflix has rapidly increased. In this context, Korean popular culture, including dramas, movies, and K-pop, has gained im- mense popularity globally and achieved remarkable success in the industry. Given the tremen- dous international attention on Korean popular culture, this paper aims to explore the current international recognition and potential for development of Korean contemporary crafts. Focusing on the context before and after the COVID-19 pandemic, this study examines the overseas market expansion of Korean contemporary crafts, with a particular emphasis on the Maison & Objet Paris in France. Maison & Objet Paris serves as a significant international platform, providing opportunities for the international market penetration of Korean con- temporary crafts. The Korean contemporary crafts industry possesses considerable potential for growth through overseas market expansion, much like the Korean popular culture. To shed light on the achievements and growth prospects of Korean contemporary crafts, this paper in- vestigates the participants of Maison & Objet Paris. By doing so, it aims to provide insights in- to the current state and future possibilities of Korean contemporary crafts in the global market.
