As people’s interest in beauty increases, they have spent more time and money in making themselves look more attractive. At the same time, beauty service industry has continuously grown. In particular, aesthetic industry has been on the rise. Due to fierce competition in the beauty service market, customers have sought a higher quality of services. Especially, there has been a demand for diverse qualifications from estheticians such as emotional regulation skills and empathetic attitude as well as professionalism. Under these circumstances, this study attempted to investigate the influence of emotional regulation, empathy and job satisfaction on turnover intention against aestheticians. For this, a self-administered offline questionnaire survey was performed. A total of 380 copies were used for final analysis, and the collected data were analyzed, using SPSS 22.0. Specifically, frequency analysis was performed to examine subjects’ general characteristics while factor analysis and reliability analysis were conducted on emotional regulation, empathy, job satisfaction and turnover intention. In addition, regression analysis was performed to investigate the effects of emotional regulation, empathy and job satisfaction on empathy. The above results confirm that emotional regulation, empathy and job satisfaction had a statistically significant influence on turnover intention. In conclusion, this study unveiled correlations among emotional regulation, empathy, job satisfaction and turnover intention. It is anticipated that the study results would reduce such turnover intention and make a contribution to efficient business management and growth of aesthetic industry.
