This study intends to create a detailed plan for establishing a fire safety education and training center in Busan Metropolitan City. It seeks to analyze the current disaster environment in Busan and propose directions for enhancing fire education. Recent updates in the disaster and accident risk assessment for Busan indicate a rising fire risk, necessitating targeted strategies to address this issue. The existing Korean firefighting schools lack alignment with local disaster characteristics. While comprehensive safety experience centers are operational, they face challenges due to unplanned construction and operation. In response, an urgent need exists to develop a fire safety education and training center tailored to Busan's disaster environment. A comparison of domestic fire schools, safety experience centers, and international fire education underscores that a uniform approach to fire education in Korea isn't suitable for Busan's evolving disaster landscape. Thus, the objective is to establish a Busan-specific fire safety education platform to better address the area's disaster realities and enhance fire safety education in line with citizen needs.
