两个学习者语料库中的词簇分布研究

Lexical Bundle Distributions across Two Learner Corpora

本研究调查了基于中国英语学习者议论文写作的两个语料库中词簇的分布模式。词簇由语料库语言学软件 AntConc 提取,并按照使用频率及功能分布进行了分类分析。研究结果表明,尽管写作主题和写作成绩等因素存在差异,但从两个语料库中提取的词簇表现出惊人的相似性。这一发现清楚地表明,中国英语学习者在英语表达中基本上使用了非常有限的词簇,并且缺乏对书面体裁的相关知识。文中随后探讨了这些发现在教学方面可能的启示。

The current study investigates the distribution patterns of lexical bundles from two corpora of argumentative writing by Chinese EFL learners. The bundles were extracted using the corpus linguistics tool AntConc and categorized by frequency and functions. The results show that despite differences in factors such as writing topics and writing grades, lexical bundles abstracted from the two corpora exhibit striking similarities. This finding is clear evidence that Chinese EFL learners basically utilize a very limited number of lexical bundles in their English production and they lack certain knowledge in the written genre. Some pedagogical implications are subsequently discussed.
