大学英语教学中的道德教育与品格塑造

Moral Education and Character Building in College English Teaching

随着社会变革与全球化加速,大学英语教育逐渐从单一的语言技能教学转向培养学生的道德品格和社会责任感。英语,作为国际语言,承载了跨文化沟通的任务,因此在其教学中融入道德教育和品格塑造变得非常重要。本文在阐述了大学英语教育中融入道德教育与品格塑造的重要性及相关方法后,分析了目前大学英语教学中的道德教育与品格塑造面临的挑战,并提出了相应的应对策略,包括明确课程目标、重视教师的关键作用、提供社会实践机会以及进行跨学科合作。

With the acceleration of social change and globalization, college English education has gradually evolved from merely teaching language skills to nurturing students’ moral character and social responsibility. English, being an international language, assumes the role of facilitating cross-cultural communication, making the integration of moral education and character development into its curriculum all the more crucial. After elucidating the significance and relevant methods of incorporating moral education and character development into college English education, this article scrutinizes the challenges encountered in the current landscape of College English teaching in this regard. Additionally, it puts forth corresponding response strategies, which encompass clarifying curriculum objectives, recognizing the pivotal role of educators, providing opportunities for real-world engagement, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration.
