순경채용시험의 국어과목 도입에 관한 연구

A Study on the Adoption of Korean language in the Police Constable Recruitment Examination

이 연구는 경찰채용시험 중 순경채용에 있어 국어과목 도입에 관한 연구이다. 이를 위해 타공무원 시험과목, 외국의 채용시험 제도, 순경채용시험 과목의 변천 과정 등에 대해서 고찰하고 국어과목 도입을 위한 정책적 제언을 하였다. 이 연구에서는 순경채용시험의 국어과목 도입을 위한 효율적·효과적 방안으로 필기시험에 국어과목 추가, 한국어 자격증의 검정제 도입, 공직적격성평가(PSAT) 중 언어논리 영역의 도입을 제안하였다. 이 연구는 경찰공무원 그 중에서도 순경 채용시험에 있어 국어 과목 재도입의 당위적 필요성을 국어기본법, 타공무원과 및 외국 경찰과의 비교를 통하여 주장하고, 향후 국어 과목 재도입시 활용할 수 있는 정책적 방안들에 대해 선험적으로 연구하고 제안한 것이다. 따라서 향후에는 실증적 연구의 보완이 요구된다. 즉, 후속연구에서는 일반국민과 경찰공무원을 대상으로 경찰채용시험에 국어과목 도입 필요성에 대한 설문조사를 진행하여 실증적 근거를 강화할 것이 요구된다. 이를 통해 우리의 우수한 문자인 한글과 국어가 조금이라도 발전하는 계기가 되기를 기대하는 바이다.

This study is about the adoption of Korean language subjects in police constable recruitment examination. To this end, I reviewed other civil servant examination subjects, foreign recruitment test systems, and the history of police officer recruitment test subjects, and made policy suggestions for the adoption of Korean language subjects. In this study, as efficient and effective measures to adopt the Korean language subject in the police officer recruitment test, the addition of the Korean language subject to the written test, the introduction of a Korean language certification system, and the introduction of the linguistic logic section of the Public Service Aptitude Test(PSAT) were proposed. This study asserts the necessity of reintroducing the Korean language subject in the recruitment examination for police officers, through comparison with the Basic Korean Language Act, other civil servants, and foreign police, and discusses policy measures that can be used when reintroducing the Korean language subject in the future. It was researched and proposed a priori. Therefore, supplementary empirical research is required in the future. In other words, in follow-up research, it is necessary to strengthen empirical evidence by conducting a survey of the general public and police officers on the need to introduce Korean language subjects in police recruitment examination. I hope that this will serve as an opportunity to develop our excellent letter, Hangul, and the Korean language.
