A Study on the Classification and Names of Tourism Occupational Groups in the KECO

This paper collects the names of tourism-related occupations in the current Korean Employed Occupation Classification (KECO), and based on them, examines the problems and improvement plans of tourism-related occupations in the Korean Employed Occupation Classification. In the reality that the scope of the tourism field cannot be clearly distinguished, the classification and names of tourism-related occupations in the Korean Employment Occupational Classification have been organized based on the tourism business and qualifications specified in the Tourism Promotion Act. As a result, problems such as job and qualification names used in the tourism industry, anachronistic job titles, qualifications and jobs that exist but are not reflected in the Tourism Promotion Act, and other existing or newly emerging jobs that do not exist in the Tourism Promotion Act are not reflected. Practical improvement measures were proposed.
