토픽모델링을 이용한 자율주행 연구 동향 분석

Autonomous Driving Research Trend Analysis Using Topic Modeling

최근 4차 산업이 발달하면서 인공지능, 사물인터넷, 빅데이터와 관련된 연구에 많은 관심이 몰리고 있고 하나의 기술에 다양한 융·복합 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그중 자율주행 연구는 기하급수적으로 증가하고 있으며 세계 각국에서는 연구 지원뿐 아니라 법 규제를 바꾸는 등 자율주행에 대한 투자를 아끼지 않고 있다. 본 연구는 Scopus 학술지에 게재되어 있는 자율주행과 자율주행 차량 관련 논문들에서 연도별 연구주제 동향을 LDA와 TF-IDF로 알아보고, 기존 위크시그널 프로세스를 수정하여 2023년 유망 토픽을 예측해 보고자 하였다. LDA 경우는 자율주행차량 분석에서 자동차에만 국한되지 않고 항공 및 수중 분야에서 다양하게 연구되었으며, 자율주행 분석에서는 ‘탈 것’ 중심이 아닌 연구 알고리즘이 집중적으로 추출되었고, TF-IDF 경우에는 최신 연도에 새로 등장한 토픽을 알 수 있었다. 마지막으로 위크시그널을 통해 강화학습, 어텐션 메커니즘 등 인공지능 연구와 더불어 미래 자율주행산업에 가장 중요한 안전에 관한 안정성 및 정확성에 대한 연구가 유망할 것이라고 예측하였다.

With the recent development of the fourth industry, there is a lot of interest in research related to artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and big data, and various convergence studies are being conducted on one technology. Among them, autonomous driving research is increasing exponentially, and countries around the world are investing not only in research support but also in autonomous driving by changing legal regulations. This study examines annual research topic trends in LDA and TF-IDF from papers related to autonomous driving and vehicles in the Scopus journal and extracted promising topics in 2023 using Week Signal process. In LDA, it is not limited to 'vehicle' in autonomous vehicle analysis, but has been studied in various ways such as aviation and underwater, and various research algorithms have been extracted without focusing on 'vehicle' in autonomous driving analysis. In TF-IDF, we can find out the new topics that appeared in the latest year, through the Week Signal. It is possible to guess that research such as artificial intelligence research and environmental factors would be promising, as well as research on stability and accuracy regarding safety.
