儒將 梁憲洙의 丙寅洋擾期 救國활동

Yang Heon-soo's 's aspect as a scholarstic general and the activities of rescuing his nation during the ByunginYangyo

丙寅洋擾에 대처한 주역으로 알려진 荷居 梁憲洙는 ‘儒將’이라는 평가를 받았다. 그러나 救國의 영웅으로서 혁혁한 공로가 칭송되기는 하였지만 양헌수가 儒將이라 칭해지게 된 근본적인 이유에 대해서는 논의된 적이 없었다. 본고에서는 양헌수의 儒將으로서의 면모와 병인양요기에 활동한 양상을 ‘현실감각을 갖춘 儒者’, ‘檄文을 지은 文章家’, ‘戰亂의 상처를 보듬은 德將’, ‘전략과 임기응변의 대응능력을 갖춘 智將’이라는 네 가지 특징으로 집약하여 실증적인 자료로써 논증하였다. 병인양요와 관련해서는 史學界의 연구성과가 축적되어 있으나 漢文學 자료의 심층 분석을 요하는 여지가 많이 남아 있다. 우선 이미 활용되고 있는 자료들을 더 정밀하게 읽는 과정이 필요하고, 관심권 밖에 있던 관련 기록들을 집성해서 체계를 세워 분석하는 단계로 나아가야 한다고 제언하는 바 본고는 그 시도의 하나다.

Yang Heon-soo, known as the leading role of Byeonginyangyo, was evaluated as Scholarstic General. However, although his brilliant contribution as a hero of the country was praised, the fundamental reason why Yang Heon-soo was called scholarstic general seems to have never been discussed. This paper examined the human aspect of scholarstic general Yang Heon-soo from four perspectives and how he responded as scholarstic general to the national historical disaster of Byeongin Yangyo. Four characteristic aspects were argued as empirical data: with a sense of reality, who wrote the words, with the ability to respond to the wounds of war, with strategies and improvisation. Regarding Byeonginyangyo, the research results of the private academia have been accumulated, but there is much room for in-depth analysis of Chinese literature data. First of all, it is suggested that the process of reading the data already used needs to be more precise, and that related records that were outside the right of interest should be compiled and analyzed.
