고령 발달장애인 근로자의 노화 경험과 고령화 대책으로써 직업의 의미: 장애 당사자와 가족 관점에서 근거 이론적 접근
Experience of Aging in Elderly Workers with Developmental Disabilities and the Meaning of Work as a Strategy for Aging: A Theoretical Approach from the Perspectives of Individuals with Disabilities and Their Families
본 연구는 고령 발달장애인 근로자의 노화 경험과 직장생활 이후 삶의 변화 과정을 살펴보고 고 령 발달장애인의 고령화 대책으로써 직업의 의미와 지원 방안을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 40세 이상 고령 발달장애인 근로자 및 고령 발달장애인 가족 10명을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였다. 이를 근거이론에 따라 분석한 결과, 인과적 조건으로 ‘고령 발달장애인의 노화로 인한 현상’, 맥락적 조건 으로 ‘고령 발달장애인이 인식하는 사회적 현실’, 중심현상으로 ‘고령 발달장애인의 노후에 대한 인 식’, 중재적 조건으로 ‘고령 발달장애인의 노화에 대한 반응’, 작용/상호작용 전략으로 ‘고령 발달장 애인의 노후 대처’, 결과로 ‘고령 발달장애인의 직업생활을 통한 변화’와 ‘고령 발달장애인의 안정된 노후 생활을 위한 지원 요구’가 도출되었다. 도출된 범주는 근거이론의 패러다임 분석 틀에 따라 구조화하였으며, 구축된 패러다임 모형을 근거로 고령 발달장애인의 안정된 노후생활을 위한 정책 및 현장에 시사점을 제언하였다.
This study examines the experiences of aging and Work life among elderly individuals with developmental disabilities and analyzes the meaning of employment and support measures as strategies for addressing their aging process. To achieve this, in-depth interviews were conducted with employed individuals with developmental disabilities aged 40 and above, as well as with families of elderly individuals with developmental disabilities. The research findings reveal the following key elements: as causal conditions, the phenomenon of aging in individuals with developmental disabilities; as contextual conditions, the social realities perceived by elderly individuals with developmental disabilities; as the central phenomenon, perceptions regarding aging among individuals with developmental disabilities; as intervening conditions, responses to the aging process in individuals with developmental disabilities; as strategies for action/interaction, coping mechanisms for aging among individuals with developmental disabilities; and as outcomes, changes resulting from the Work life of elderly individuals with developmental disabilities and their demands for support in achieving a stable life in old age. The derived categories were structured and examined in relation to the conditions and categories using the paradigm analysis framework of grounded theory. Based on these findings, policy implications and recommendations for practice are suggested to promote a stable and fulfilling life in old age for individuals with developmental disabilities, drawing on the foundations of grounded theory literature.
