The Arrangement and Aesthetics of Ceramic Stationery in the Ming Dynasty: An Investigation of Literati’s Study Rooms

陶瓷文房器作为室内陈设常见之物，日用之余还成为怡情遣兴的案头清供。不仅体现明代文人士大夫的生活状态，也蕴含其价值观，人生理想与精神追求，并反映出社会关系与生活秩序变化。本文从社会生活角度以明代文人书斋为观察，梳理并分析陶瓷文房器用陈设品类型、外观与功能以及陈设手法原则，分别从形式、功能、意境阐释陶瓷文房器用陈设审美特征。

Ceramic stationery, a common element in indoor decor, has evolved into a delightful tabletop accessory for everyday use. Not only does it offer insights into the living conditions of literati and officials during the Ming Dynasty, but it also encapsulates their values, life aspirations, and spiritual quests, shedding light on changes in social relations and life order. This paper explores the ‘study room of Ming Dynasty literati as a window into their social lives, categorizes and analyzes the various types, appearances, functions, and principles of arranging techniques of the ceramic stationery, and elucidates the aesthetic characteristics of these pieces from perspectives encompassing form, functionality, and artistic expression.
