A Study on the Word Formation and the Lexicon in the Naming Task

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the coined word method of Korean word that appeared in the performance of Korean learners' word naming tasks, to examine the pattern of word formation, and to examine one aspect of the Korean lexicon of foreign learners. Based on onomasiological approach, second language learners tried to examine how Korean language units actually operate. As a result of the analysis of task performance, The learners made Korean sentences and then created new words. In the results of the morphological analysis of these words, learners were using the agglutinative language and morphological characteristics of Korean. It is assumed that the structure of the new lexicon will resemble the Korean lexicon.
