청년의 공정성 인식이 상대적 박탈감에 미치는 영향

The Effect of Fairness Perception on Relative Deprivation among Young Adults: The Mediating Effect of gender Equality and A Gender Comparison Study

본 연구의 목적은 청년의 공정성 인식이 상대적 박탈감에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고, 공정성 인식과 상대적 박탈감 간의 관계에서 성평등의식의 매개효과가 성별에 따라 차이가 나타나는지 경로분석을 통해 규명하는데 있다. 이를 위해 청년 306명을 대상으로 설문조사를 시행하여 자료를 수집하였고 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 청년 전체 집단의 경우 공정성 인식이 상대적 박탈감에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나 성평등의식의 매개효과는 나타나지 않았다. 그러나 성별을 나누어 분석하면 흥미로운 결과가 산출되었다. 청년 남성의 경우 공정성 인식이 상대적 박탈감에 영향을 미치지 않지만 이들의 성평등의식은 공정성 인식과 상대적 박탈감 사이를 완전매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 청년 여성의 경우 공정성 인식이 상대적 박탈감에 통계적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지만 청년 여성의 성평등의식은 매개효과를 나타내지 않았다. 이는 청년 세대가 생애과정에서 겪는 경험과 성장해 온 배경에 기초하여 성별에 따라 공정성 인식, 상대적 박탈감, 성평등의식을 다르게 가질 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 이러한 분석 결과를 바탕으로 청년 세대 내 젠더별 양극화 현상을 해결하기 위한 정책적 시사점을 제안하였다.

This study examines the influence of fairness perception among young adults aged 20 to 30 on their sense of relative deprivation, and investigate whether the mediating role of gender equality in the relationship between perceived fairness and relative deprivation varies according to gender. To fulfill these research objectives, an online survey was administered to a sample of 306 young adults. The findings suggested that while perceived fairness significantly influences relative deprivation across the entire young adult group. Moreover, the group's gender equality was found not to have a statistically significant impact on relative deprivation, indicating it does not serve as a mediator between perceived fairness and relative deprivation. Interestingly, for the male subset, although perceived fairness did not affect relative deprivation, The gender equality of young males mediated the relationship between perceived fairness and relative deprivation. In contrast, within the female subset, while perceived fairness significantly impacted relative deprivation, it did not influence gender equality consciousness. The gender equality of young females does not mediate the relationship between perceived fairness and relative deprivation. In light of these results, The study suggested social welfare strategies to address gender-based polarization within young generations.
