This study attempted to confirm the grammatical category of ‘(이)ㄴ가’ in ‘어디에선가’(somewhere) or ‘누군가’(someone). It is critically reviewed the grammar category description of ‘이-’ in previous studies and dictionaries. Through reviewing various examples of the form of ‘(이)ㄴ가’, it is turned out that ‘(이)ㄴ가’ is a complex form of ‘(이)+ㄴ가’ and ‘(이)ㄴ가’ as a grammaticalized postposition. This proved that ‘(이)ㄴ가’, which belongs to the postpostion category, is a distinct category from the combination of the ending ‘-ㄴ 가’ or the combination of adjective ‘(이)-’ and the ending ‘-가’.
