한국어 학습 환경에 따른 듣기 불안 및 듣기 전략 사용 양상 연구

A Study on Listening Anxiety and Listening Strategies of Korean Learners related to Learning Environment: Focusing on Difference between Learners at Vietnamese Universities and Korean Institutes in Korea

This study examins listening anxiety and listening strategy use of Vietnam Learners, who have studied Korean at Universities in Vietnam and at language institutes in Korea. The study was designed to see if there are any significant differences between learners in KSL and KFL background. Moreover, the study aims to examine correlations between listening anxiety and strategy use affected by learning environment. The results of this study are as follows. First, the listening anxiety of learners in Korea was somewhat lower than that of learners in Vietnam, and the difference between the two groups were statistically significant in the data of total anxiety of listening and the anxiety of input. Second, learners in Korea used more diverse strategies than learners in Vietnam, and this was also statistically significant. The cognitive strategies of both groups were high in preference strategies. Third, in the case of learners in Korea, all strategies except the meta-cognitive strategy showed a negative correlation with anxiety, whereas the learners in Vietnam only showed negative correlation in the higher meta-cognitive and effective strategies.
