This paper aims to research effective teaching methods of Korean vowels in Myanmar. To this end, the study first examined the current state of the Korean education being conducted at the Yangon University of Foreign Languages and the Mandalay University of Foreign Languages, and diagnosed the problem of teaching Korean vowels. As a result, this study suggested that in teaching Korean vowels, monophthong and diphthong should be presented separately. And then, this study precisely analyzed the Korean and Myanmar vowels systems, and analyzed the similarities and differences between the vowel systems of the two languages. Based on this, this study present the order of presentation with Korean monophthong and diphthong and the method of teaching of Korean vowels.
