The Korean Intonations of Chinese Learners: Focused on Intonation of confirmative interrogative sentence

The purpose of this study is to reveal the intonations of Chinese learners, when they are using the confirmative interrogative sentences of Korean. But the previous studies, there are a lot of problems. Such as they tried to use Chinese’s general interrogative sentence – the ‘嗎’ interrogative sentence to explain the Korean confirmative interrogative sentences – the ‘-지요’ interrogative sentences. But the important thing is the ‘嗎’ interrogative sentence in China is not use as confirmative interrogative sentences. That is, they were not based on the same grammatical concepts and functions to compare the differences between Korean and Chinese’s confirmative interrogative sentence. So they could not get a satisfactory result when comparing Korean and Chinese’s intonation. And another problem is they considered the Chinese tone has affected the intonation of Korean’s confirmative interrogative sentence but did not researched it in depth. In this study, I tried to explain the rationality of choosing ‘-지요’ interrogative sentence and ‘吧’ interrogative sentence. And then refer to previous studies and materials to write Korean & Chinese experimental materials. After that, interviewed and tested 110 respondents, used praat6023 to analyze experimental data. According to actual condition to reveal the intonations of Chinese learners, when they are using the confirmative interrogative sentences of Korean. And also I tried experimented to prove that, intonation will be affected by the Chinese tone characteristics, syllable changes rules, light tone rules and other reasons, when Chinese learners are using the confirmative interrogative sentences of Korean.
