This study has examined the acquisition aspects of Korean adverbial position in English-speaking Korean language learners. In order to examine this, this study poses two questions. They were on the extent of learners’ comprehension about the position of adverbial within the sentence. In order to solve the study questions, this study developed evaluation forms on adverbial position and conducted an experiment with intermediate level learners and Korean native speakers. As the result of analysis on comprehension difference between the two groups through chi-square independence test, learners showed comprehension difference about adverbial position to Korean native speaker. Especially, learners showed less comprehension about the position of adverbials which were moved by the speaker’s intention. Through the study, the necessity of teaching and learning of adverbial position could be confirmed.
