The present article aims to review the direction and contents of speaking Korean instruction. The study adopts internal approaches and discourse analysis methodology in investigating speaking instruction with own speaking’s properties and reviews past educational contents mainly from the teaching methods and Korean textbooks focusing on critical thoughts. Moreover, the study analyses the performance of speaking test of present Korean learner’s as well as the performance of speaking test discourse 10 years before. This study strives to found out present Korean leaners have low speaking proficiency than 10 years before, and persuade speaking Korean instruction should be changed. Through these efforts, this study sets its own directions as ‘BupGoChangSin Korean speaking instruction’. This study suggest speaking Korean instruction should pursue improving conversational abilities and spoken grammar as well.
