Korean Poetry's Recognition of Reality and Ethics of Symbiosis in the Post-Corona Era

포스트 코로나 시대를 맞아 한국 사회는 그동안의 표준이 바뀌는 뉴노멀 현상이 가속화되고 있다. 이 논문에서는 코로나 팬데믹 상황에 각별히 주목하며 포스트 코로나 시대를 위한 새로운 삶의 방식을 제시하고 있는 김승희, 나희덕, 김선우의 최근 시집을 통해 이들의 시에 드러나는 현실 인식과 공생의 윤리를 살펴본다. 김승희는 코로나 팬데믹 상황에서도 서로 분열되어 전쟁터를 이루는 반목과 차별의 태도를 가장 심각한 사회 현상으로 본다. 이러한 코로나 팬데믹의 상처를 달래고 진영논리를 극복하기 위해서는 ‘우리’가 되어 ‘함께’ 희망을 향해 가는 사랑의 연대가 절실하다고 제언한다. 나희덕은 코로나 팬데믹 이후 인간 중심의 시선에서 벗어나 지구 전체의 생명 공동체가 처한 심각한 생태 위기에 주목한다. 지구의 한정된 자원 안에서 공존하기 위해서는 절제하고 분배하는 나눔의 공동체가 되어야 하며 비인간 존재와의 협력과 조화가 절실하다고 주장한다. 김선우는 코로나 팬데믹을 비롯한 현실의 모든 문제가 자본주의의 폭식성과 끝없는 착취의 구조에서 기인하는 것으로 본다. 이에 대한 대안으로 자연처럼 공평한 정치와 무엇을 이루려는 욕망에서 자유로운 무위의 삶을 제시한다.

In the post-COVID-19 era, the new normal phenomenon in Korean society is accelerating, in which standards have changed so far. This paper examines recognition of reality and ethics of symbiosis revealed in their poems through recent poetry collections by Kim Seung-hee, Na Hee-deok, and Kim Sun-woo, who pay special attention to the COVID pandemic situation and present a new way of life for the post-COVID era. Kim Seung-hee identifies the most serious social phenomenon as the attitude of hostility and discrimination that divides and forms a battlefield even in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to escape the wounds of the COVID-19 pandemic and overcome the factional consciousness, it is suggested that the solidarity of love of becoming ‘we’ and living ‘together’ is urgent. Na Hee-deok focuses on the serious ecological crisis faced by life communities throughout the planet, away from the human-centered gaze after the COVID pandemic. She argues that in order to coexist within the Earth's limited resources, it must become a community of moderation and distribution, and that cooperation and harmony with non-human beings are imperative. Kim Sun-woo understands that all real problems, including the COVID pandemic, stem from the structure of endless exploitation of capitalism. As an alternative to this, she presents a life of nothingness free from a politics as fair as nature and a desire to achieve something.
