Selecting the ‘Tool Words for studying’ for the pre-elementary school children from multi-cultural family and the way to teach them

This study is about selecting the words which need to be taught to the pre-elementary school children from multi-cultural family for studying better in the elementary school later. First, for this study, it was selected 192 words and made the list of ‘Tool Words for studying’ from the corpus of the first school year students’ textbooks. This ‘Tool Words for studying’ is the words that are used to explain and describe the learning contents, so its function is like tools for learning and studying the contents. Second, it is presented some ways of making use of this words list for the korean language teaching to the pre-elementary school children from multi-cultural family. This study can be available for the actual teaching and learning vocabulary for them.
