This study aims to review literature on task-based focus on form studies that have been published in Korean language teaching as a foreign language. The study first introduced the trends of applied linguistics on language acquisition, and secondly examined the definition of focus on form and task-based focus on form. Then, the present study reviews the research recently published in Korean language teaching area in terms of study participants, target form, types of task, assessment methods. Also, this study mentions the trend of research on focus on form in other foreign language education in country and abroad. Based on the current trend in country and abroad, the study suggested the future research.
