The purpose of this study is to find types of sense groups and to apply to teaching method for the improvement of reading comprehension. When Korean learners speak Korean, most of them pronounce and tone similar with native speakers do. However learners high level in speaking show quite different way in reading target context. This is from that they do not understand Korean structure and accomplished comprehension through reading class. This is from the teaching trend which top-down processing is treated more important than bottom-up processing in reading method. In this study divided the sense groups of Korean into 9 types and suggest them depending on level. If the method using sense groups as one of bottom-up processing on reading class, it gives time to teach the Korean structure to teachers and to learn a strategy to comprehend contents of context to learners. Finally this strategy to understand text will also influence on writing and listening skills.
