한국어 교사 교육에서의 이문화(異文化) 교육의 필요성과 방향

The purpose of this study is to recognize the importance of intercultural education in terms of training Korean-language teachers and to present the basis for the development of the curriculum and education program accordingly. The rapid globalization of the world increases the importance of “Understanding Intercultural Communication” and “Recognition of Reciprocity and Coexistence.” In this regard, it is crucial to provide Korean-language teachers with training programs for understanding intercultural Communication , not only for improved communication between teachers and students but also to promote the idea of world citizenship. However, the current curriculum is designed with a focus solely on Korean culture. In this perspective, this paper takes a close look at the status and issues of intercultural education for Korean-language teachers and presents its objectives with “Understanding Intercultural Communication and Coexistence”, “Development of Multicultural Curriculum”, and “Coordination with Other Education Programs” to set the direction for teacher training programs for those who teach Korean language and furthermore to promote global communication among students of all cultures.
