The aim of this paper is to present verbo-tonal phonetic correction in teaching Korean pronunciation as a foreign language and to apply this theory in an educational practice for Korean pronunciation. This method was devised originally by Guberina for speech-handicapped. Renard has developed this method for phonetic correction which is used for French as a foreign language. The analysis compares the difference between Korean vowels/consonants and French vowels/ consonants and applied verbo-tonal phonetic correction to the students of La Rochelle University. The study induced to a very satisfactory result and I concluded that a combination of other linguistic training methods with the proposed phonetic education on Korean will prove effective for foreign students in learning Korean.
