This study deals with the effective method of pronunciation training for the Czech who is willing to study Korean as a major. Education on letters and pronunciation is crucial as the first step in studying Korean followed by education on lexicons and grammar. First, the comparison of phonemes are made to search the effective method of pronunciation training. The vowel system in Korean is comparatively complex than Czech, seeing that there are 10 single vowels in Korean but only 5 in Czech. But in case of the consonant system, Czech is more complex than Korean. Consequently, the consonants plays rather important role in forming a syllable to fill the blank caused by the insufficiency of the vowels. Common and exclusive phonemes in Korean(target language) and Czech(native language) can be found by making the comparison of phonemes between two languages. Training for common phonemes is comparatively easy. But training for phonemes that can be found only in Korean should be done by steps to accomplish desired objective. Pronunciation training for the vowels can be executed in 3 steps. First, the vowel system should be introduced. Second, training on the vowels whose letters and location of articulation are similar should be done. Finally, training on the vowels that are found only in Korean should be executed. The Czech are sensitive to the consonant related training, for in Czech, some syllables and words are formed only by consonants. But the triangle consonant system composed of the lenis fortis and aspirate should be treated separately and auditory recognition should be preceded by demonstration and practices. Finally, repeated practices by minimal pair and dictation should be done intensely.
