Most of studies on language learning have been focused on the effective teaching however, socio-cultural approach is needed to identify learner factors influencing on successful language learning. This study is to look over theoretical basis on various factors in language learning and to analyze counselling cases of 635 Korean language learners for 4 years at KLI of Yonsei University. The result of the study was to categorize 7 domain topics: school life/learning, living information, language exchange, hobbies/club activities, getting jobs, entering a school etc. Among 7 domains, the learners were most concerned about entering a university or graduate school and about relationship with others by means of language exchange as well.
