Most of the studies on Korean language learners seem to have the limitation to find out the basic reason of the learners language showing variation caused by various factors. However, interlanguage of Korean Language learners occurs in various patterns due to a few factors such as various utterance situations, context factors and psychological factors. The various patterns are the true measurement of the language capabilities of the learners. Therefore, studies on the variation are to measure the interlanguage capabilities of Korean language learners and to provide the data to evaluate the Korean language capabilities of Korean language learners. This research studies the variation in the interlanguage of KSL students according to the task types among a number of other factors. This study is valuable because it could be applicable to the actual education. Using the implicational scaling, this research analyzes the variation in interlanguage of KSL students with data collected by two types of task, grammar tests and interviews.
