음운인식 중재가 청각장애 유아의 음운인식 능력과 조음오류 개선에 미치는 효과

The Effects of a Phonological Awareness Intervention on Phonological Awareness Ability and Improvement of Articulation of Infants with Hearing Impairments

연구목적: 이 연구는 음운인식중재를 통해 청각장애 유아의 음운인식능력을 향상시킬 수 있는지와 조음오류의 개선에 영향을 미치는지의 여부를 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 연구방법: 연구대상은 청각장애학교에 재학 중인 만 3세 유아 3명으로 선정하였다. 청각장애 유아의 음운인식능력을 알아보기 위해 과제수준별로는 음절수준에서 실시하였고 과제유형별로는 합성, 생략, 대치에서 실시하였다. 음운인식능력을 평가하기 위하여 음운인식능력 평가지를 만들어 평가를 실시하였다. 연구결과: 첫째, 청각장애 유아의 음운인식능력이 전반적으로 향상되었음을 알 수 있었다. 음절수준에서 합성, 생략, 대치 모두 향상이 되었고 합성, 생략, 대치의 순서대로 습득하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 둘째, 청각장애 유아의 조음오류가 개선이 되었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 결론: 연구결과 음운인식중재를 통해 음운인식능력을 향상시킬 수 있으며 조음 오류개선에도 도움이 되기 때문에 음운인식에 대한 교육이 필요함을 나타낸다.

Purpose: This study investigated the effects of a phonological awareness intervention on the improvement of a phonological awareness ability and articulation errors in infants with hearing impairments. Methods: The subjects of the study were selected as three year old students attending a school for the hearing impaired. In order to investigate the phonological awareness ability of children with hearing impairments, task level assessment was conducted at syllable level and each task type consisted of synthesis, omission, and substitution. To evaluate the phonological awareness ability, a phonological awareness ability evaluation paper was constructed and evaluated. Results: First, the study found that the phonological awareness of children with hearing impairments improved overall. At the syllable level, synthesis, omission, and substitution were all improved, and in the order of synthesis, omission, and substitution. Second, it was confirmed that the articulation accuracies of the children with hearing impairments were improved. Conclusion: These results show that a phonological awareness intervention is effective for children with hearing impairments and that phonological awareness education is necessary.
