특수교육 기본 교육과정 연구 동향 및 과제

Research on the Trends and Tasks of the Studies on the Special Education Basic Curriculum in Korea

본 연구는 특수교육 기본 교육과정 연구의 동향을 고찰하고 향후 연구 과제를 탐색하는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 국내 석사 및 박사 학위논문, 학술지 논문, 연구보고서 총 62편을 분석하여 연구 동향을 포괄적으로 조망하고 향후 연구 과제를 탐색하였다. 특수교육 기본 교육과정 연구 동향의 분석 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 기본 교육과정 연구는 이론적 연구와 양적 연구를 중심으로 수행되었으며, 연구 방법의 다양화가 요구되었다. 둘째, 기본 교육과정 개발과 개정에 연구가 집중되었으며, 기본 교육과정 실행에 관한 연구는 미흡했다. 셋째, 기본 교육과정 구성의 관점에 대한 진전된 논의는 있었으나 기본 교육과정의 적합성 문제는 여전히 과제로 남아있었다. 넷째, 학교의 실정에 맞게 기본 교육과정을 재구성하고 있으나 학교 교육과정 의사결정 과정에서 교사들의 참여는 제한적이었다. 다섯째, 기본 교육과정 재구성과 실행에 관한 교사들의 높아진 관심은 교육과정 주체자로서 교사의 적극적인 역할에 대한 가능성을 기대할 수 있었다. 그러나 기본 교육과정 재구성과 실행에 관한 체계적인 논의는 부족하였다. 마지막으로, 보편적 차원의 평가 프로그램을 학생 개개인의 특성에 맞게 조정할 수 있는 방안을 모색할 필요가 있었다. 특수교육 기본 교육과정에 관한 향후 연구 과제로는 기본 교육과정 연구방법의 다양화, 기본 교육과정 적합성 문제에 관한 연구, 그리고 기본교육과정 실행 특성과 체계에 관한 연구 등을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the trends in the domestic research on the basic curriculum. A total of 62 research papers were analyzed, the research trends were reviewed, and future research directions were suggested. The results of the basic curriculum research trends are as follows. First, the studies mainly focused on theoretical and quantitative research. Second, the studies focused on the basic curriculum revision and development. Third, discussions on the types of access to the basic curriculum have been making progress, but the tasks related to the appropriateness of the basic curriculum are yet to be accomplished. Fourth, the participation of teachers in the curriculum decision-making processes was found to be limited. Fifth, the studies on the systematic discussion of the basic curriculum reconstruction and implementation are limited. Finally, the studies revealed that it is needed to find ways of adjusting the evaluation program of the universal dimensions based on the characteristics of individual students in implementing the basic curriculum. For the future research, the following topics are recommended: diversification of the basic curriculum study method, a study on the appropriateness of the basic curriculum, and a study on the basic curriculum implementation systems.
