사회과 교과교육학 지식의 습득도에 대한 초등특수교사의 인식

The Perception of Elementary Special Education Teachers on Pedagogical Content Knowledge in Social Study Subjects

본 연구의 목적은 초등특수교사의 사회과 교과교육학 지식의 습득도에 대한 인식을 알아보는 데 있다. 연구대상은 B시 초등특수교사 288명이며 조사도구는 교육과정, 내용, 내용표현, 교수법, 평가, 학생, 환경상황에 관한 사회과 교과교육학 지식의 7개 구성요소로 이루어진 설문지이다. 수집된 자료에 대하여 교사 배경 변인(성별, 근무 학교(급), 교직경력, 일반교사자격 유무)에 따라 t검증과 F검증을 실시하였다. 연구 결과, 초등특수교사가 지니는 사회과 교과교육학 지식에 대한 전반적인 인식 수준은 3.79점으로 보통보다 조금 높게 나타났다. 영역별로는 환경상황 지식이 가장 높았으며, 교수법 지식이 가장 낮게 나타났다. 성별, 학교(급)유형에 따른 사회과 교과교육학 지식은 서로 유의미한 차이를 나타내지 않았으나 교직 경력에 따른 사회과 교과교육학 지식은 통계적으로 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 교직 경력인 11년 이상인 집단이 5년 이하인 집단과 6년∼10년인 집단에서 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 사회과 교과교육학 지식의 구성요소 중 내용, 내용표현, 교수법, 평가, 학생에 관한 지식에서 11년 이상인 집단이 5년 이하인 집단과 6년∼10년인 집단 사이에서 유의미한 차이를 나타냈다. 그리고 초등특수교사 자격만 지니고 있는 교사 집단보다 일반교사 자격과 초등특수교사 자격을 함께 지니고 있는 교사 집단의 사회과 교과교육학 지식 습득도 평균 점수가 더 높게 나타났다.

The purpose of this study was to survey elementary special education teachers' perception on pedagogical content knowledge in social study subjects. The participants were 228 elementary special education teachers in Busan. Pedagogical content knowledge in social studies composed of 7 elements: curriculum, subject matter, representation, instructional strategies, evaluation, students, and environmental context. Collected Data were analyzed by using SPSS Win 18.0. The results were as follows; Elementary special education teachers' pedagogical content knowledge in social studies is a little above the average. The knowledge of environmental situation is the highest level and that of teaching method is the lowest. Pedagogical content knowledge in social studies according to gender and school level did not show a meaningful difference and showed a meaningful difference by teaching career. Especially, the teachers having more than 11 years career showed more meaningful differences than the groups of less than 5 years career and 6∼10 years career. As well, the teachers having both general elementary teacher and elementary special education teacher certification percept higher in having pedagogical content knowledge in social studies than those having only elementary special education teacher certification.
