스마트 폰 앱 기반의 직업교육이 자폐스펙트럼장애 고등학생의 도서 분류작업 수행에 미치는 효과

The Effects of the Smart-Phone Application Designed to Develop Book Classification Skill in Vocational Education for High School Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder

본 연구는 스마트 폰 앱 기반의 직업교육이 자폐스펙트럼장애(Autism Spectrum Disorder) 고등학생의 도서 분류작업 수행(정확도, 수행시간)에 미치는 효과를 알아보기 위해 서울특별시 소재의 정서장애 특수학교 고등학교에 재학 중인 4명의 자폐스펙트럼장애 학생을 대상으로 실험효과를 검증하기 위하여 대상자간 중다간헐기초선설계(multiple probedesign across participants)를 적용하였다. 중재는 연구자가 직접 제작한 스마트 폰 앱 기반의 직업교육을 실시한 후 학교 도서관에서 도서 20권을 분류하도록 하고 이에 대한 정확도(%)와 시간(초)을 측정하였다. 중재회기는 12회기에 걸쳐 제공하는 것으로 하되, 중재 중 정확도가 100%가 되면 도서 분류체계를 이해한 것으로 보고 중재를 종료하였다. 연구 결과, 스마트 폰 앱 기반의 직업교육을 통해 도서 분류작업 수행의 정확도는 향상되었고, 수행시간은 감소되는 경향성을 보였으며, 유지에도 긍정적인 효과가 있었다. 본 연구는 스마트 폰 앱을 활용한 직업교육이 도서 분류작업의 수행(정확도, 수행시간)에 효과적임을 밝히는데 의의가 있다.

This study was to evaluate the efficacy of the use of the smart phone application designed for vocational education on book classification for students with autism spectrum disorder in a special school in Seoul. Multiple probe design across participants was applied. Four participants learned to manipulate a handheld device to use the smart phone application and were intervened to use the vocational education to classify twenty books afterwards, and the application was specially designed by the researcher for this purpose. The study measured the accuracy and time on the classification job. Intervention had twelve cycles but was terminated earlier when the accuracy reached 100% in the process under the consideration that the participant(s) understood the book classification system. As the results of the research, smart phone application for vocational education not only enhanced the accuracy of the book classification but also decreased the time it took to complete the task. It showed positive relationship in maintenance of the understanding as well. The results of this study provided meaningful discussion to improve the book classification of students with autism spectrum disorder.
