중년남성의 앞머리 변화가 심리적 스트레스에 미치는 효과

A Study on Psychological Stress according to Anterior Hairlines Changes in Middle-aged Men

This study attempted to investigate the influence of anterior hairline changes on psychological stress against adult men aged from 40s to 65 living in Busan, and the results found the followings: First, regarding interest in appearance changes, the above middle-aged men have shown high interest in the amount of hair and gray hair. Specifically, those in their 60s or older were more interested in the amount of hair and facial wrinkles while singles were particularly concerned about gray hair and facial wrinkles. Second, in the perception of the importance of anterior hairlines, the respondents said that they are important. In particular, such perception was higher among the married and sole proprietors. Third, concerning the perception hairline changes by age, as the respondents were older, hair was thinner, and an M-shaped forehead was most common. Fourth, in terms of front hair improvement behavior, ‘nothing’ was most responded, followed by ‘permanent’. Fifth, regarding stress from anterior hairline changes, as hair was thinner and forehead was broader, stress further increased. Sixth, in psychological satisfaction after anterior hairline improvement behavior, as the amount of hair was smaller and hair was thinner, respondents were more satisfied. The above results confirm that middle-aged men are well aware of the importance of anterior hairlines in expressing themselves and that they are more stressed with hairlines changes. In addition, many middle-aged men were passive in improving their anterior hairlines because of a lack of diverse information, high costs and inconvenience of getting services.
