보완대체의사소통에 대한언어치료사들의 인식도 조사

The Recognition of Speech Language Pathologists on Augmentative and Alternative Communication

이 연구는 보완대체의사소통에 대한 언어치료사들의 인식도를 설문조사하여 보완대체의사소통 사용에 대한 개선점과 대책마련에 그 목적을 두고 있다. 전체 응답자 중 34%가 보완대체의사소통의 사용경험이 있다고 응답하였으며, 보완대체의사소통에 대한 지식 경로는 ‘정규교육을 통해’라는 응답이 가장 많았다. 보완대체의사소통 필요성은 사용경험이 있는 언어치료사가 그렇지 않은 경우보다 보완대체의사소통의 필요성을 더 많이 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 보완대체의사소통 적용에 있어 가장 효과적인 장애영역은 뇌병변장애였으며, 가장 많이 사용한 보완대체의사소통 시스템으로는 그림교환의사소통시스템이었다. 보완대체의사소통 사용으로 가장 좋아진 부분은 ‘의사소통 측면’이었으며, 효과적인 사용을 위한 지원으로는 보완대체의사소통에 관한 지식과 치료에 적용할 수 있는 기법 및 프로그램에 대한 교육기회 제공이 가장 많았다. 보완대체의사소통에 대한 전망으로는 ‘스마트폰/태블릿 PC’가 가장 높게 나타나 추후 어플리케이션형태의 보완대체의사소통 시스템 적용이 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 이러한 결과는 보완대체의사소통 시스템의 사용 유도, 인식의 전환, 제공 여건 마련, 사용 기회 확대 등의 대책마련에 도움이 되는 사항임을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study was to conduct a questionnaire survey on speech language pathologists' recognition according to the experience of AAC. Among the total 148 respondents of this study, 51 people, or 34%, replied that they experienced AAC. Those who experienced the use of AAC replied most that 'they are aware of it theoretically and used to apply it'. Regarding the AAC system that speech language pathologists experienced, PECS was found the most. All participants replied that 'it is needed when verbal communication is not made possible.' Most respondents wanted the support for knowledge about AAC and the technique to apply the communication to therapy, and educational opportunities of relevant programs and they also replied that 'application will be useful'. As well, they forecasted that smart phones and tablet PCs would especially be used in the future society.
