특수아상담 수업을 통한 일반교사들의 장애학생 상담에 대한 인식 변화 분석

Analysis on Changes of General Education Teachers' Perception toward Providing Counseling to Students with Disabilities in the Course of Counseling for Exceptional Children

본 연구는 특수아상담 수업을 통해 일반교사들의 장애학생 상담에 대한 인식에 어떤 변화가 생겼는지를 분석하고, 일반교사들이 제안하는 장애학생을 위한 상담의 적극적 제공 방안을 살펴보고자 심층면접을 실시하였다. 연구참여자는 일반대학원에서 상담심리를 전공하며 전공필수 과목으로 특수아상담 수업을 수강한 8명의 일반교사들이었으며, 총 12차시에 걸쳐 특수아상담 수업을 수강하였다. 본 연구를 위한 첫 번째 면접은 첫 수업이 시작되기 전에, 두 번째 면접은 12차시 수업이 모두 끝난 후 실행되었다. 일반교사들과의 면접을 통해 도출된 주제를 크게 (1) 장애학생 상담제공 가능성, (2) 장애학생 상담제공 역량, (3) 장애학생 상담제공을 위한 역할로 분류하고 분석한 결과, 특수아상담 수업 이수를 통해 일반교사들은 장애학생에 대한 지식과 이해를 바탕으로 장애학생 상담제공 가능성에 대한 인식이 증가하였고, 상담제공 역량도 다양한 장애학생 상담의 유형과 범위면에서 강화되었으며, 장애학생 상담의 조력자에서 교사들간 협력을 통한 상담의 주체자로서의 역할을 인식하게 되었다. 각 주제와 관련하여 장애학생을 위한 상담의 적극적 제공 방안은 (1) 장애학생 상담의 적극적 홍보, (2) 전문적 상담지식과 기술 습득, (3) 학교행정가와 일반교사들의 인식개선을 위한 교육기회 제공으로 나타났다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 장애학생 상담에 관련된 논의점들을 제시하였다.

This study was performed to analyse changes on general education teachers' perception toward counseling for students with disabilities. Eight teachers who enrolled the course of counseling for exceptional children in graduate school were participated in this study. Face-to-face Interview was conducted twice: prior to the beginning of class and at the end of entire class. With the qualitative constant comparative analysis, three themes were generated based on the interviews: (1) perception of possibilities of providing counseling for students with disabilities, (2) competency for providing counseling for students with disabilities, (3) roles of providing counseling for students with disabilities. In the course of counseling for exceptional children, the teachers' perception regarding possibilities of providing counseling for students with disabilities was increased. Also, the teachers' competency for providing counseling for students with disabilities in terms of the types and ranges of counseling was improved. Lastly, the teachers' understanding of main roles of counseling for students with disabilities were increased. Based on these results, various implications for counseling for students with disabilities were discussed.
