정신지체학생 중심 특수학교 도서관 운영 실태에 대한 조사연구

The Survey Research on the Operation Status and Activation Ways of Special School Libraries for Students with Mental Retardation

본 연구는 정신지체학생 중심 특수학교 도서관의 운영 실태와 운영에 대한 인식을 분석하기 위하여, 49개 정신지체학생 중심 특수학교에서 도서관 업무를 담당하고 있는 담당자 49명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사의 내용은 정신지체학생 중심 특수학교 도서관 운영 실태와 특수학교 도서관의 활성화 방안으로 구성하였다. 연구 결과, 학교도서관 담당자는 사서교사 자격증이 없는 특수교육 전공 교사가 교과 수업을 하면서 하나의 업무로서 학교도서관을 담당하고 있는 실정이었으며, 도서관 담당 경력은 1년 미만이 가장 많은 수를 차지하였다. 학교도서관의 운영시간은 평균 5시간 이상이 가장 많은 것으로 나타났으며, 과반수 이상의 학교도서관이 학교정보화 시스템의 구축과 도서관 이용에 대한 교육, 교과와 연계한 도서관 활용 수업 운영, 도서관 행사 프로그램 운영, 자료 대출 서비스를 운영 하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과에 기반한 정신지체학생 중심 특수학교 도서관의 활성화 전략으로, 사서교사의 확보, 정신지체학생을 위한 도서관 편의시설 개선, 다양한 장서의 확충, 학교구성원의 도서관에 대한 인식 개선을 제시하였다.

The purpose of the study is to analyze the operation status and activation ways of special school libraries for students with mental retardation. The study included 49 people in charge of the special school libraries for students with mental retardation for the survey of the study. The survey consisted of the operation status of the special school libraries and the activation ways of the libraries. In results, the people in charge of the special school libraries are mostly special education teachers without the licence of the teacher librarian, and most of them had less than a year experience. The open hours of the library was over 5 hours a day, and majority of the libraries operated the school information system, education for the library utility, subject class related to library utility, library event program, and the lending service. As the activation ways for the special school libraries for students with mental retardation, placement of teacher librarian, improvement of amenities for students with mental retardation, expansion of the diverse books, and improvement of perception on special school libraries.
