장애대학생의 진로결정 수준과 관련 변인과의 관계

The Relation of Career Decision Making of University Students with Disabilities and Related Variables

본 연구의 목적은 장애대학생들의 진로결정 수준은 어떠하며;진로결정과 관련하여 개인 내․외적 변인들이 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보는 것이다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 4년제 대학에 재학 중이면서 장애를 가지고 있는 대학생 66명을 대상으로 설문을 실시하고 그 결과를 분석하였다. 연구결과를 정리하면;첫째;장애대학생들의 진로결정 수준은 성별;학년;장애유형;장애등급에서는 유의미한 차이가 없는 반면;사범계열;인문계열;예술계열 전공학생들은 타전공에 비해 진로결정 수준이 높았다. 둘째;진로결정 수준이 높은 장애학생들은 진로결정과 관련하여 주변의 지지와 모델링;활동;조언을 보다 많이 받는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째;진로결정 수준이 높은 학생들 전체가 이미 진로를 결정했다고 응답한 반면 진로결정 수준이 낮은 학생들 가운데에도 진로를 결정했다고 응답한 학생들이 제법 있었으며;진로를 결정했다고 응답한 학생들 가운데에서도 진로결정 수준이 낮은 학생들도 있었다. 넷째;장애대학생들은 대학입학 전에 진로를 결정하는 경우가 가장 많았다. 다섯째;장애대학생들의 진로결정에 있어 부모의 영향을 많이 받는 반면;대학의 교수는 상대적으로 낮은 영향력을 미쳤다. 이와 함께 진로를 결정할 때 본인의 흥미와 관심;적성 요인을 중요하게 고려하는 반면;성별과 가정형편;장애는 다른 요인에 비해 중요하게 고려하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 대학에서 경험하는 다양한 활동 가운데 정규수업이 그들의 진로결정에 가장 많은 영향력을 미친다고 보고하였다. 대학에서 수강한 교과목 중에서 전공과목이 학생들의 진로선택에 더많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

This study investigated the level of students with disabilities' career decision making and the various variables in the university campus which influence on students with disabilities' career decision making. Career decision-making scale;career decision relatedness scale;and a questionnaire regarding career related variables were administered to the 67 students with disabilities. The Results are as follows: First;the level of students with disabilities' career decision making didn't show statistically significant differences depending on students' gender;grade;type and degree of disability. However;there was a significant difference depending on the major of students with disabilities. Second;the level of students with disabilities' career decision making was affected by the social support. Third;as students with disabilities' career decision making level was higher;they chose their career path. Fourth;many students with disabilities made the career decisions before starting college. Fifth;students with disabilities were affected by their parents and were more concerned with their interests;job opportunities and their aptitude when they decide their career. Among campus life;classes in their major area more influenced on students with disabilities' career decision making than an other campus life.
