이 연구에서는 어휘력 발달에 지체를 보이는 장애영유아 3명을 대상으로 숲 체험활동을 실시하고 숲 체험활동이 수용어휘와 표현어휘에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보았다. 연구결과, 숲 체험활동 실시전보다 실시 후에 3명의 연구대상영유아 모두 수용어휘와 표현어휘 수가 증가하였고 중재 후 4주까지 유지되었다. 뿐만 아니라, 중재 후에 일상생활에서 숲 관계 어휘 많이 사용하고 자신감을 가지고 타인과 상호작용하려는 경향이 나타나게 되었다. 이러한 결과는 숲 체험 활동이 주는 체험, 정서적 안정, 다양한 언어 표현 유발과 총체적 언어지도의 요소 활용으로 설명되었다. 앞으로는 실내에서의 어휘력 지도와 숲 체험 활동을 통한 어휘력 지도와의 효과 비교를 실시할 것을 제안하였다.
The forest activities were planed and applied to promote the various interactions between infants with disabilities and forest which was located at nearby the child kindergarten. The effect of forest activities to infants was analyzed. The research questions on this study are as follows. 1. What kinds of effects do the forest activities influence to the development of receptive vocabulary of infants with disabilities?2. What kinds of effects do the forest activities influence to the development of expressive vocabulary of infants with disabilities?This study was conducted by the order of the preliminary examination to test the evaluation method, pretest, the experimental treatment, followed by post-test. 3 infants with disabilities were selected from the 2-year-old class of the child kindergarten located in capital region. The test tools to examine the extent of linguistic and cognitive development include Preschool Receptive-Expressive Language Scale and the Portage Developmental Test. In order to evaluate, three experimental treatment, 26 target words and 12 related words which are easily observed and explored, and also used in the fairy tales, infant’s poems and songs for 2~3 year-old infants were selected. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. First, all infants with disabilities who participated in the forest activities were significantly developed in receptive vocabulary, which means the forest activities have positive effect on the receptive vocabulary development of infants with disabilities. Second, all infants with disabilities who participated in the forest activities were significantly developed in expressive vocabulary, which means the forest activities have positive effect on the expressive vocabulary development of infants with disabilities.
