청각장애학생을 위한 국어과 지도의 실태 분석

A Survey of the current Status and Needs of language teaching-learning guide for students with hearing impairment

본 연구의 목적은 청각장애 학교에서의 국어과 지도의 실태를 조사하고, 청각장애학생을 위한 국어과 교수-학습 자료에 대한 요구, 청각장애학생의 국어과 교과지도에 대한 교사들의 제안과 요구를 파악하여 교수-학습전략의 개발 방향을 살펴보고, 기초 자료를 제공하는데 있다. 연구대상은 청각장애학교 교사의 유‧초‧중‧고등부 담임교사 34명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 결과, 청각장애학생에게 효과적이고 개별 수준에 적합한 교수-학습전략을 제공하여야하며 체계적이고 구체적인 교사용 학습 자료와 청각장애학생에게 적절한 교수전략 및 교수방법의 개발이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 청각장애학생을 위한 국어과 교수전략 및 학습자료 개발 방향에 대한 제안점을 제시하였다. 청각장애학생에게 적합한 국어과의 각 영역별 내용과 연계된 수준 별 교수 전략 및 학습자료를 개발하는 연구가 추후에 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것이다.

With investigating the current situation of language teaching-learning and necessary materials for it and suggestions by teachers involved in schools for the deaf, this paper focuses on establishing desirable guidance to the development of teaching-learning strategy and providing basic materials for it as well. For this, 34 teachers responsible for students whose age is ranged from about 4 years old to 18 years old at schools for the deaf have been given a questionnaire survey. From the result, it could be confirmed that teaching-learning strategies suitable for students at each level are needed and systematic and concrete learning materials for teachers should also be required. Besides, the result shows that proper teaching strategies and methods should be developed. Based on such study result, some suggestions for language teaching strategy and directions for the development of learning materials for deaf students are provided. And follow-up studies for this will be continued.
